2.11

For Monday, let's try something a bit more creative. Read Edgar Allen Poe's 'Murders in Rue Morgue' if you never have, and one story of your own choosing from Poe's work. You can find more Poe stories all over the internet, but the link to the right has a good number. Be ready to discuss these in class.

Then read the short article 'How to Write a Detective Story' (the link is to the right). You'll see that the author has outlined nine elements to help an author create a detective story. By Sunday, February 10th at 8 pm, do your best to fill in those elements with your own. I don't expect you to be experts, believe me, but go ahead and indulge yourself.

Use the numbers and the headings in your post, please, to make things clear for us all.

I may be the only one asking this, but can you go into more detail about the assignment?
