Apologies for the lateness of this post.
For Monday, we'll concentrate on the Woolf essay and the two Woolf stories, but please read Elaine Showalter's essay 'Towards a Feminist Poetics' and begin to familiarize yourself with the feminist readings posted here. As with the Marxist readings, then, write a 250-400 word response in which you try to articulate what a feminist literary critic does or should do with literary works, citing specific examples from the text.
Be sure to have the texts (particularly the woolf) with you in class Monday.
