Double-crossed

1- Time period and locale: 1970 , N.Y.C , Manhattan

2-Detective: A 26 year old male named Landon C. Limbrodge, works for the NYC police crime department

3-Outline of crime: a 17 year old girl named Olivia Davis found on her living room floor strangled to death.

4-Clues: A math book belonging to Jessica, Olivia’s best friend.

A sports wristband and a key chain with the initial “J” on it.

5- MMO

Motive: Jack was obsessed with Olivia and could not accept her relationship with Jax.

Jessica was jealous of Olivia’s growing popularity.

Niki discovered that Jack and Olivia had an affair.

Jax found out about Jack and Olivia’s affair.

Method: Jack strangled her out of rage.

Jessica went to her house with an excuse to borrow something and her plan was to kill along.

Niki came over to confront her about her relationship with Jack and killed her by accident.

Jax came to her house killed his girlfriend out of anger and hurt.

Opportunity: Her parents were out of town and there was no one home.

6-Alibis and suspects: Jack is Niki’s boyfriend and was at track practice.

Jessica is Olivia’s best friend was at the record store with Niki.

Niki is Jax’s twin sister Jack’s girlfriend. She was at the record store with Jessica.

Jax was at school getting tutored for calculus.

Climax: Dec. Limbrodge finds out that Niki left the record store before Jessica to get to track practice on time. He also found a letter written to Niki telling her about the whole affair, signed with the initial “J’.

Denouement: Niki and Jack showed up at Olivia’s house after practice with every intention of killing her .Niki told Jack on the way over there that everyone would be happy if they just eliminated the problem, which was Olivia. When they arrived at her house, all three teen began to argue. Niki approached her with a knife and Olivia tried to run out of the house passing the living room, where all of the sudden Jax comes through the front door and stops her. Finally Jack grabbed her and wrapped a rope around her neck and pulls tight until she was dead. All for teens ran out of the house where Jessica was waiting at the corner in her father’s blue pick up truck.

Summarize/conclusion: Dec. Limbrodge reads in the paper that Jack, Niki, Jax, and Jessica were convicted of murder in the first degree; and received 50 years to life. He puts the paper down and heads out to the Lower East Side of Manhattan to his next crime scene.
